Hi, I am Lea Reichel. My mission is to transform the experience of birth for olot & Olim in Israel.
I founded The Israeli Birth Nest to bridge the gap between the complex Israeli maternity system and the needs of the international community.
Navigating birth in a new language and a new culture is a challenge. Too often, Olot and Olim feel like they have to choose between clinical safety and their own sense of dignity and calm. I created this hub to change that.
My Mission: Clarity, Confidence, Calm
My mission is to transform the way Olim experience pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in Israel. The Israeli Birth Nest exists to:
Demystify the System:
I provide the clear, evidence-based information needed to navigate hospitals, clinics, and Tipat Chalav with confidence.
Empower Your Choices:
I believe that informed parents make the best decisions. I translate complex medical and cultural norms into actionable knowledge so you can advocate for your rights.
Create a Sanctuary:
No matter where you are in Israel, The Israeli Birth Nest is your digital sanctuary—a space where you can prepare, learn, and feel supported throughout your rite of passage.
My Foundation
The Israeli Birth Nest is built on six years of specialized experience as a doula, birth educator, and B.O.T. facilitator. I have synthesized my academic background in Gender, Jewish, and History Studies with extensive hands-on training within the Israeli maternity system to provide you with a unique, evidence-based perspective that is both culturally relevant and deeply grounded.
Whether you are seeking my masterclasses to demystify the system and feel more grounded or searching for high-quality, evidence-based information, I am here to ensure you don’t have to figure this out alone.
